Biography
Jon Hocking is a self-taught artist, graphic designer, and musician. Jon’s artwork tends to be dark, cryptic and confronting. There is often a distinctive symmetry to his compositions, and his colour pallet is often rich in reds, golds, and greys. He is most known for photo-manipulation and digital artwork but is also a skilled illustrator.
Jon’s artwork is often seen on album cover designs for metal bands because of his natural fascination with skulls, statues, snakes, and dark imagery. Some of his artwork has also been used for tattoo designs.
In addition to devoting time to his artwork, Jon is the creative director at Indievelop Music, which specialises in design, web, and marketing solutions for the music industry. Jon's designs have helped his clients define their image, present themselves professionally, and get noticed.
Jon’s artwork is created mostly with Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite with a Wacom tablet. His hand drawn works are created in pencil.
